Leave a Legacy - Remember Us In Your Will

It’s the small things that make a big difference

Every year ordinary supporters of St. Clare’s Hospice help us to give Extraordinary care to adults of all ages, from every part of our community by leaving us a gift in their Will.

The smallest of gestures often make the biggest difference to people’s lives. Even the smallest of gifts in your Will can ensure that we can make a big difference to our patients, helping them to make the most of the time they have with their loved ones.

Writing a Will ensures your loved ones are taken care of and that your wishes in life are carried out after you’ve gone. So when the time is right for you to make your Will, please remember St. Clare’s Hospice, ensuring that we can extend our services and care for future generations.

Sometimes people believe they have nothing to leave to charity in their Will or that a gift in your Will needs to be a large amount. This is simply not the case. The Hospice has received gifts ranging from £100 to over £250,000 and appreciates each and every penny received in this way.

How to leave your gift to St. Clare’s Hospice

People choose to remember us in their Will in several different ways:

  • A Residual Gift – Is what is left of your estate after any specific legacies have been made. You can give all or a portion of this as a gift.
  •
  • A Specific Gift – An item, such as jewellery, an antique or even a property.
  • A Pecuniary Gift – A set amount of money.

Changing a will

If you’ve already made a Will you can add a gift to St. Clare’s by drawing up a codicil (simple addition to your will) then simply send it to your solicitor who should not charge you for adding it to your existing Will.

If you decide that you would like to support St. Clare’s Hospice in this way please do let us know. You may wish to use our legacy pledge form. That way we can thank you directly.
