St Clare’s Hospice has officially launched its Rainbow Dash event in burst of colour with the support of local businesses.
Co-op Funeralcare, Dicksons, and L S Care have shown their support to the charity as official colour station sponsors at this event.
Representatives from the three corporate sponsors and members of the Hospice’s Fundraising Team came together at the charity’s launch event at Monkton Stadium.
This will be Rainbow Dash’s 4th anniversary and it is anticipated that 300 people will register for this event. The Hospice provides care and support to people with life limiting illnesses in South Tyneside and relies heavily on fundraising events to help raise additional funds for the charity.
The colour run will take place on Sunday 21st May at Monkton Stadium and is open to anyone aged 6 years and above.
Judith Copeland, Director of Nursing at L S Care, said: “We were sponsors of Rainbow Dash last year and were delighted to be able to sponsor the colour run again this year. The Rainbow Dash is a lovely community event to be a part of and we are looking forward to seeing all the participants on the day.”
Vanessa Middleton, Fundraising Manager at St Clare’s Hospice, said: “The Rainbow Dash is one of our most popular events and it’s always a good family fun day. We still have one colour station available for sponsorship and we would urge any local organisation to show their support to our charity by sponsoring this event."
The charity has one more station to be sponsored ; any organisations interested in sponsoring this worthy cause, please contact Caroline Breheny, Fundraiser at St Clare’s Hospice on 0191 529 7116.
