Payroll Giving

Payroll giving - also known as Workplace Giving and Give As You Earn - is a way to help us that costs you less. You can make a regular tax-free donation directly from your salary every month, and help us care for more terminally ill patients and their families when they need it the most.

Sign up to payroll giving and make a regular contribution to the work of your local independent Hospice, St. Clare’s.

How it works

Payroll Giving allows you to donate straight from your monthly salary before tax is deducted. Because the donation is taken from your gross pay, every pound you give will only cost you 80p, or only 60p if you are a higher rate tax payer.

You can give as much as you like and change or cancel your donation at any time by informing your Payroll Department.

How your monthly donation helps

St. Clare’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care to patients with life limiting illnesses, day and night, along with vital support for their families.

All of our services are provided free of charge but it costs us just under £2m every year to continue providing this care. Your monthly donation will help us continue this care 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.

You can set up Payroll Giving online now by visiting the secure site Giving Online or contact your Payroll Department at work.
